I was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon. After high school I left the Northwest and headed to San Diego for warmer weather and less rain. I graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree. I majored in Spanish and minored in Psychology.
After graduating I decided to pursue something I have always loved, massage therapy. I completed the Massage Practitioner program at the School of Healing Arts in San Diego. I started working at the School of Healing Arts clinic and after a few months started my own massage business.
Shortly after, I received an opportunity to come on staff with Young Life in San Diego full-time, but continued doing massage part-time. In the summer of 2009 my husband and I left San Diego and traveled all over the U.S. and visited all 50 states in one year. After our travels we decided to move to Las Vegas.
I received my massage license in Nevada and got a job working at one of the largest chains of massage clinics. After 7 months in Las Vegas I was tired of the heat, so we packed up and headed back home to Oregon. I started my own massage business in Portland, Oregon and practiced massage therapy there for about a year.
My husband was sick of the cloudy, rainy weather in Portland, so we decided to head back to sunny San Diego where I am once again working for myself as a massage therapist.
